Welcome Lock Stock & Barrel to Australia

To all you guys out there who are quite particular about the products you use on their hair, you might want to consider the new Lock Stock & Barrel (LS&B) range which has just arrived in Australia and available exclusively at SpaceM.  The brand is conceived in London, England in 2006 and inspired by the iconic London style.  Mark and Ben Snowdon are the brand directors and together with their team, they have put together a line-up of strictly professional and high performance hair tools designed specifically for the modern man whilst also injecting a personality into men’s grooming regimen that is distinctly British. 

I first noticed LS&B at Liberty in London while I was doing some Christmas shopping and couldn't resist the handsome bottles they have for their shampoos.  I purchased a small bottle (250ml) of the Reconstruct Protein Thickening and Strengthening Shampoo and i was hooked!  I have to say though, the smell is fantastic and after using it for a few days, one thing is for certain, my hair was much easier to style and control plus I felt that my hair just had that extra volume and bounce.  This then lead me to want to find out more about their styling range.

Their hair styling products is also just as impressive as their shampoos, and to my surprise is actually quite extensive.  Depending on the type of hair you have or the style you want, there will be one that will suit you or the occasion.  I counted 7 different types of hair styling products in their range and each will give you a different look and varying holding strength depending on what you are after.   My personal favourites will be the Ruck Matte Putty and 85 Karats Grooming Clay.  The Ruck gives you that natural and non shiny look and it holds your hair in place very well.  On top of that, it's very easy to wash off in the shower.  I think the Ruck will work very well for people with shorter hair styles and if you are after that natural but messy, textured and volume look, then this is the one for you. The 85 Karrats though is a bit different from the ruck but just as good, the way I will summarise it is that it works like the Ruck, just that it gives you a bit of shine and very good if you like to use your fingers to style your hair.

There are the other hair stylers which you can try in the LS&B range like the Pucka Grooming Creme, a light styling creme that gives you the volume you need with light to medium hold.  The Daddy Classic Wax for people wanting to create that classic and contemporary style.  The Gooch Hair Gum, non-sticky, and gives hair shine and great texture, good for finger styling.  Large IT Power Gel as the name says it is a super strength gel that is a super hold styler giving your hair a superb glossy finish.  And finally the Disorder Raw Earth which gives you that matte choppy finish, good for shorter hair styles and creating that messy look.                                

For me, LS&B has created it's own unique style and is distinct from other hair care products out there in the market.  It just has it's own unique personality.  Their shampoo and hair styling range is definitely worthy of a place up there amongst the top professional line of hair care brands, and it's made specifically for men.
